How it all started...
Pastor Matt Andruss was born in the Bay Area in Northern California. He spent his teen years in Oregon, attending Applegate Christian Fellowship with Pastor Jon Courson. It was then, at the age of 14, when he knew the Lord had a call upon his life to teach the Word of God and be a pastor. After serving 14 years in the Navy, he joined the Corporate workforce in the financial field in 1997 and then moved into the technology field as a Implementation Specialist and Trainer. In preparation for the call to ministry, Pastor Matt attended Twin Peaks Bible College before assuming the pastorate at CC Hernando County in 2002. He received his Pastoral Ordination in March 2002 at Calvary Chapel Tampa where he served for 5 years, after serving at Calvary Chapel West Oahu for 4 years. He received his affiliation to Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa with Chuck Smith shortly after his ordination. He left the Corporate field in 2010 when he assumed full time ministry work.
Pastor Matt met his wife, Jenny, in 1991, on a mission trip to the Dominican Republic (his wife's native land) where she served as his interpreter. The Lord has blessed them with 2 children, Daniel and Christi, and the family of Christ everywhere.
